Job Description

The Payroll Coordinator will report to the Payroll Manager and will support all duties associated with the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrolls for 1,600 employees. This role will work closely with Human Resources and other departments. This individual will be driven, highly motivated, proactive, detail oriented, self-directed and own the payroll function. 

This role would be part-time, 20 hours a week.

Pay rate: $30/hour

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the payroll vendors to process all payrolls for employees in the American and Canadian regions
  • Maintain employee payroll records, including timesheets, work records, and other relevant data
  • Review and verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures related to payroll
  • Strong work ethics with the ability and flexibility to work extended hours during critical periods such as payroll submission remittance deadline

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of payroll processing experience
  • Possess a working knowledge of payroll-related requirements and regulations for federal, state and local payroll laws
  • Maintain confidentiality in all assignments and in all information obtained
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of payroll software, preferably UKG
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  • Accounting degree a plus
