Job Description

Sales Support Specialist
Location: Naperville, IL (Hybrid Remote)
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000
Travel Required: Up to 5%
Start Date: ASAP

As a Sales Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in helping the Export Sales team operate smoothly and efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include administrative support, managing key documents, assisting with customer communication, and ensuring that our sales team has everything they need to succeed.

What You'll Do

Organize and manage data in spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel.
Keep records up to date, including inventory files and promotional performance reports.
Support the sales team with customer requests, product catalogs, promotions, and budget planning.
Prepare export documentation (e.g., certificates, tax forms) to ensure compliance.
Communicate with vendors, retailers, and internal sales teams.
Schedule and coordinate meetings with vendors, building strong relationships with both new and existing partners.
Handle general administrative duties such as answering phones, booking meeting rooms, and taking minutes.
Assist in corporate and client participation at distributor sales meetings, food shows, and other industry events.

What We're Looking For

Strong communication and marketing skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
Ability to manage client relationships and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to administrative tasks.
Experience in budgeting, bookkeeping, and planning, with a solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
Excellent time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
At least 1 year of experience in customer service, sales support, or data analysis (2+ years preferred).
Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
