Opportunity
We are seeking a sharp, persuasive Direct Response Copywriter with a deep understanding of consumer behavior and a proven ability to turn insights into compelling, conversion-focused messaging. This role supports our live events and financial educational businesses, crafting copies that drive urgency, engagement and action. Responsibilities:
Craft Copy: Write clear, concise and conversion-focused copy for direct response campaigns including email, landing pages, paid ads, social, SMS and more. Experience in creating faith-driven messaging that moves people to action.
Collaborate Creatively: Partner with marketing, design and performance teams to develop creative strategies that align with campaign goals and KPIs.
Drive Action: Develop compelling calls to action (CTAs) and persuasive messaging that creates urgency and drives clicks, sign-ups and purchases.
Test & Optimize: Participate in creative reviews and A/B testing processes to refine messaging based on data and performance.
Maintain Voice: Ensure brand voice and tone are consistent across all touchpoints while adapting messaging for different audiences and platforms.
Ideate Campaigns: Contribute to brainstorming sessions and concept development for new brand launches, seasonal promotions and consumer retention campaigns.
Track Trends: Stay current on industry trends, direct response best practices and competitor messaging.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Advertising or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience in direct response copywriting or content marketing may be considered in place of a formal degree.
3-5 years of experience in a copywriting role, ideally focused on B2C direct response marketing.
Proven track record of writing high-performing, results-oriented copy that drives conversions.
Strong understanding of consumer psychology, urgency triggers and digital performance metrics (CTR, CVR, open rates, etc.).
Experience with omnichannel marketing including email, landing pages, paid ads, social, SMS and more.
Ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and stages of the consumer journey.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with multiple priorities.
Familiarity with A/B testing, performance marketing tools and basic SEO principles a plus.
Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments preferred.
Background in writing for ticketed live events, the Christian market and/or regulated industries (financial education) a plus.
