Job Description



We are searching for a Data Entry Assistant (Part-Time) to join our Technomic Data Management team. This is a work-from-home position, with the ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.

Under the supervision of the Team Lead, you are responsible for quarterly menu data updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately collect, organize, and input data into our systems.

  • Use the internet as a research tool

  • Collaborate with the Team Lead to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management tasks.

  • Read, edit, and work with PDF documents to extract necessary information.

  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care.

  • Assist in generating reports and summaries based on collected data.

Qualifications

  • Provide your own desktop computer or laptop and internet connectivity in a private, secure environment (Tablets are not acceptable)

  • Ability to work a minimum of 25 hours a week. Up to 29 hours available.

  • Previous experience in data entry or adjacent role

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Professional, ambitious, adaptable and hard-working: attention to detail a must

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Deadline-oriented

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Publisher & Excel

  • A keen interest in research and information gathering

Nice to Haves: 

  • Basic understanding of food, beverage & restaurant industry

  • General understanding of menu structure

  • Food service experience a plus
